MESSAGES TO VOTERS:

Carson City Elections is involved with implementing a new state wide top-down voter registration system . This will prevent us from sending out Voter Registration Cards during the ten day requirement.
Keep your voting information current! Failure to respond to a mailing from the Carson City Clerk's Office may place your voting status as inactive. If your status is inactive, you will not receive a sample ballot or mail ballot.
If you need to change your name or political party affiliation, you will need to complete a new Voter Registration Application. If you need to change your physical and/or mailing address you may complete a Change of Address Form.

Giving false information on a Voter Registration Application is a category E felony and shall be punished as provided in NRS 193.130.

If your address in Carson City has the zip code 89704, 89705, or 89706 you may be a resident of Washoe County, Douglas County, or Lyon County. Please verify your correct county prior to registering to vote in Carson City.

Same-Day Registration Information

Nevada voters may register to vote, or update existing voter registration, in-person at a polling location either during Early Voting or on Election Day.
Qualified electors of Carson City must have a current and valid Nevada Driver's License or Nevada ID with their current residence to same-day register. Additional documents showing proof of residency in Carson City will be required if the license or ID address has not been updated by the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles.
Voters taking advantage of same-day registration will be issued a provisional ballot that must be cast before leaving the polling location.
All same-day registration ballots will not be counted until after the counties and state conduct a verification process of eligibility.
